This policy explains what SellerProfitMargin.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to everything at www.sellerprofitmargin.com.

What the calculators do with your numbers

Every calculator on this site is JavaScript running inside your own browser. Your prices, costs and margins are not sent to any server, not stored, and not logged. Close the tab and they are gone. There is no account, no signup and no email required to use anything here.

Information we collect

Information you give us

If you email us through the contact page, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics record standard technical data when you visit:

• IP address, in a shortened or anonymised form
• Browser type, operating system and device type
• Pages viewed, time on page, and the page you arrived from
• Approximate location at country or city level

This is aggregate data. We use it to see which pages are useful and which are not. We do not use it to identify you personally.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. This site uses them in two ways: for basic analytics, and for advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The calculators will continue to work normally if you do.

Affiliate relationships never change which tools we recommend or what our calculators tell you. Where a link is an affiliate link, it is marked as such.

If you are in the EU or UK

Under GDPR our legal basis for processing analytics and advertising data is your consent, given through the cookie notice, and our legitimate interest in running and improving the site. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email us using the contact page.

If you are in California

Under the CCPA and CPRA you may request disclosure of the personal information collected about you, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, use the contact page.

Children

This site is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

Analytics data is kept in aggregate form for up to 26 months. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle the conversation.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because the calculators never transmit your figures, there is no financial data on our side to secure.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change, and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page.
